Superior Fences Group is an independent Australian owned and operated Company with offices in Brisbane.
Originally established in 1967, SFG has been a major player in the fencing industry for over fifty years supplying and installing all types of fencing throughout Queensland and Northern NSW. At its peak, Superior Fences and Gates (as it was called) was the largest seller of Colourbond Fencing in Australia and one of the largest manufacturers of domestic fencing products in Queensland. The business was sold to management in the mid 2000’s only to see the industry change considerably with the opening of China as a manufacturing centre and an influx of sole contractors enter the residential fencing market.
Derek Nicholson and Andrew Kerr through their entity Bingin Holdings Pty Ltd acquired Superior Fences and Gates in February 2018 as a “turnaround” project to capitalise on the massive growth forecast for SE Queensland in the SEQ Regional Plan. Identifying Security Solutions as a growth industry and experiencing first-hand the rapidly changing WPH&S and Quality Management compliance expectations of Tier 1 &2 Building Contractors, they saw great opportunities in an industry sector that was struggling to adapt to the changing construction environment.
Rebranded Superior Fences Group (SFG) in early 2019 and re-engineered to service the Tier 1 & 2 building and construction industry along with corporate property owners and Government institutions, SFG has again become the leader in the provision of high security solutions including physical security, electronic security and system integration services in Queensland.
SFG’s ability to design, engineer and manufacture a diverse range of perimeter security products is now unparalleled within the industry. Our team members have high levels of expertise in project management, manufacturing, mechanical and electronic engineering, technical support and installation. Our diverse expertise means that we take a whole-of-project approach. SFG offers a complete service, which includes a security consultation and risk assessment, right through to a comprehensive handover and provision of a manufacturer’s certificate of installation compliance.
